Adultery is not unforgivable. It's also easy for Christians to judge other people who have been divorced. There are many people who walk around with the scarlet "A" or "D" on their forehead feeling they have a sub-par Christian life. Francis, prior to becoming a Christian, committed adultery. Had he believed in marriage prior to becoming a Christian, he would be divorced today. He has been forgiven completely from those sins.
